I am concurrently working on my husbands MRSA story, and am trying to see how to really use trackback. Dang is it ever confusing :)

Whew! Trackbacks are a BIT confusing! I wish Shei would write a NucleusCMS tutorial on how the heck to get this trackback feature to actually SHOW on my blog, without adding 99 lines of text to my blog. LOL Oh well, I figured out enough to get something to show anyway! Better than nothing, I guess. Tweak tweak tweak, I will be a better person for this–at least will have learned some patience!!

Heading out to get a new tire in a few minutes, we are heading to Tennessee for a week or so on Tuesday, gotta get the ol Urban Assault Vehicle in shape for the trip. Oh how I hate road trips! We decided at least to leave the dogs here, at a kennel, so we wont be arriving in Knoxville with a herd. We actually considered borrowing my brother in laws small stock trailer and towing Cowlie with us, but in the last few days, she has learned to eat pretty well, and isnt terribly interested in her bottle anymore–kinda sad. [Sing this to the toys r us tune of "I'm a big kid now"] Shes a big cow now!

Tracking back! 26May05

Oh boy there is alot to learn in this world! I could spend the better part of the rest of my life sitting here at this computer learning things, and probably weigh 800 pounds and have a seat the size of an elephant (not to mention higly maladjusted children, and very irritable hubby!). This morning I spent 2 hours perusing the forums at phpBB, who created my forum software, to learn how to correct some login errors I was having. Now this afternoon, I am weeding out email, and find a great blogging email from about.com.

About.com gets me into so much trouble sometimes…LOL. I can start there and go who knows where learning new things. This afternoon it is trackbacks. I have read a tutorial about them from the nucleuscms.org (creator of this blogging software), but I am not alot further than I was before. Now, this kind (and gorgeous, I must say!) Shai Coggins has been so kind to provide another tutorial, and a “hands on” tutorial at that, so I am going to “attempt” to trackback to let her know I am talking about her. Thanks so much Shai!

I think I am overthinking this. I am assuming that my trackback plug in will provide a trackback URL to anyone who asks for it. I WAS thinking that I had to put this URL into my actual blog, sort of like a regular link back to her site, but now I think that is not the case.

Well here goes, thanks for the info–Shai, if you ever wonder if anyone gets anything out of your hard work at about.com, let me tell you that I, for one, surely do! And thank you again!

Google! 26May05

Ooh I am excited! I just Googled “Nail Tech Secrets,” and my site just came right on up, #1! That surely must be a good thing! I just need some fabulous divas who want to do their own nails to come along now.

Tomorrow is the last day of school..hooray! No more alarm clocks, except on Sundays :) I detest the alarm clock-I swear I have a better day when I wake up on my own than with that horrid thing.

We ordered Marshall some glasses through Optical4Less.com today. He chose the “Sharp and Trendy” light blue titanium model–I hope he loves them as much as I love mine from O4L! If anyone spots this, go to the link on my site and check them out, you will save HUNDREDS of dollars, if you are willing to wait 2-3 weeks for your glasses! I cannot tell you how pleased I am with them, and really with the internet glasses ordering process. I measured my old glasses, so I had something to compare theirs to, tried on some at some optical shops for grins and giggles (and see how much money I WOULD have paid!), then went to the site and ordered what I thought I might like. Just like in the optical shops, it is so easy to get overwhelmed with all of the styles, and all of the variations of the styles, but my best advice is to get a basic idea of what you like, then just jump in. At $29.99 a pair, you just cannot hardly go wrong. Marshalls wound up costing $170, but naturally, he got the top of the line Titanium frames, upgraded his lenses (which were Progressives anyway, and more costly), and got the computer glare coating on them. I guarantee he still saved $200 on them though!

Ok, I MUST get in bed, lest that dreadful alarm clock have to go off so I get up on time!

Love to all!
