You want to check out some amazing Photoshop work? Do you love babies? (Do you love Gene Simmons?) Sure you do!
After months and months (and months) of being with StumbleUpon, I was filling out my profile, and it asked my personality type, and offered this test - I took it, but not sure why. Looks like I am a middle of the road kind of chick - most of my scores were at or around 50% for each of the personality traits. I could have told them that. But some of their deductions, I thought, were odd considering my middle of the road status:

ESTP - “Promotor”. Action! When present, things begin to happen. Fiercely competitive. Entrepreneur. Often uses shock effect to get attention. Negotiator par excellence. 4.3% of total population.

I guess some of this explains why I am a GTD kind of girl - although my general disorganization around me (HATE to clean house and have piles of papers that surround me in my office) makes me wonder how much I really could get done if I could manage that part of me.
I have NEVER thought of myself as competitive at all - in fact, I hate competitions! I guess I hate to lose, maybe that is why I hate them so much. LOL Aaron told me once that he thought I was very competitive, and that shocked me (still does, obviously). How could he know that about me when I don’t even know that about myself??
Shock effect? Yeah, I have that one down pat. I love it. Ask my mom. Ask my husband. Hell, my kids probably even know that about me. How boring would life be if you couldn’t shake things up a bit??
Prior to this month, I was a cheerleader for Dell. I really was. We have 6 Dell computers in our home (7, if you count the one that is scheduled for transport back to the hell from whence it came). I loved Dell because they ran well, and because they had incredible support. Sure, I struggled to understand the English of the support team (yes, “Brian,” “Bob,” “Susan,” every one of them), but that was ok, they ALWAYS resolved my problems. Until this time.
My husband works out of town during the weeks. I work with b5media. Both of us rely on our computers for our jobs. So, when Marshall began having problems with the screen on his Dell, I called Dell. One service call later - no resolution. Another long telephone exchange and another service call - no resolution. The technician knew what needed to be replaced, but Dell would not send it. My husband calls Dell - spends a couple of hours on the phone, raises hell, and then arrives a technician with a whole new top half of the computer. Well, the screen was repaired, but it just didn’t jive with the rest of the computer - we are permanently in Safe Mode after yes, another call to Dell. Mark us down for about 8 hours on the phone with Dell now.
Read the rest, after the jump…

We have a bevy of new bloggers in my channels at b5media - and I have to say, I love them all. Cyndi is a mixed media artist, and a girl after my own heart - Mom, check out her groovy hair - it will bring back memories. Hopefully good ones, but maybe not. Ha ha! Anyway, check out her blog at Layers Upon Layers, I am trying to help teach her about trackbacks, and send her one, so she can’t say she’s a virgin any longer!
Over the last couple of years I have gone from a brand spanking new blogger to - well I don’t know just what I am now. I blog, yes, but have become more involved with the admin side of b5media as well, hence my sore lack of updating on this blog and the others I write). I really love supporting the writers and helping out with the details that everyone else hates to do. Patient, detail oriented - sounds like a former nail tech to me.
Anyway, Darren Rowse, one of the owners of b5media and the inspiration and possibly the driving force behind what has made problogging what it is today, wrote the kindest thing about me over the weekend, and I like to keep these niceties for posterity (and let the 5 relatives that read this blog know about it…ha ha). Darren included me in 5 bloggers he would like to meet:
Christina Jones - Ok - you’re all going to hit Christina’s link and wonder whether I’m a closet beauty product user - but it’s not the topic of her blog that makes me include her - it’s who she is. Christina is another b5 blogger/channel editor/project manager and is someone who has gone above and beyond the call. I admire her for many reasons but one of them is her ability to get things done. One of my many weaknesses is that I can be quite disorganized and impulsive - in this way CJ is my opposite. She’s also is compassionate, funny and passionate about the things she does.
I don’t know about funny, but passionate I have handled. And the funny thing is, I am probably one of the most impulsive people you ever knew. There have been several occasions at b5 where my passion has just about taken over my sense, but thankfully, in the end, all was right with the world.
I just wanted to say thanks to Darren, you are always an inspiration with your genorosity, your knowledge and your kindness. I think we will get to meet sooner rather than later, and I can’t wait (and am darned sorry it isn’t on a groovy cruise this month!). And just admit it, I know you are a closet product junkie.
And for my five relatives who probably don’t know (or care??), b5media just took on some venture capital funding to the tune of $2,000,000, so watch out for great things to come! With any luck I will have an official title and a full time “real” job at b5media in the next couple of weeks, Project Manager. I am looking very forward to seeing where this goes, it will no doubt be quite a ride!! Come and join us!
…sad to say:

Gotta love this title, but it is a great article for SEO, and again, one to hang on to for future blogging reference!
7 Easy Steps to a Pimped Out Money Making Wordpress Blog-WeblogHits.com
via Blogging Pro, via ProBlogger
I am testing some good spammers software, but I am only using it for good, so that my dear hubby can keep up with his blogzilla wifey. So, here is a test post to see if I can ping his site properly.
I am having an awful time with my feeds being stolen and used at shady Adsense sites, as is all of b5media I think, so am going to test out this feed plugin, Better Feed, here before I go begging the guys to do something.
On a cool note, Glam.com asked me to write a weekly beauty column for them, and of course I said yes.
First column out on Friday and we are gonna be talking - take a wild guess - sunscreen. My favorite topic.
Also, something to hang on to for future reference is Suzanne Falter-Barns’ article on communicating with your fellow bloggers. That is something just about all of us at b5 can improve upon. Suzanne does just about what I do, when I do it, of course, but hers will be a useful article to have my hot little hands on. Good stuff, thanks a bunch, Suzanne!
Oh man have I been laughing my butt off tonight. I don’t think Marshall will laugh too much, but boy(!) will every married woman I know. Ha! Check out True Wife Confesssions - found via Mary Tsao at Blogher. Honestly, I don’t think I am really the Blogher type woman so much (hearmeroar), but I always read and have really found some interesting things on there today - thanks again Mary for pointing that out!
Try these on for size:
Confession #029
After 10 years of being together, I still hope that you will learn how to make me orgasm one day.
Confession #016
Yes, I washed the chicken. I have been rinsing the chicken for 15 years. You do not have to ask me EVERY TIME if I have washed the god damn chicken. If my plan were to give you salmonella, it would have happened a long time ago.
Confession #003
Your electronic organizer? The one you loved in 1998? Yeah. That didn’t fall out of your car and get run over by your tire. I washed and dried it in the laundry , then tried to get you to think you’d done it by wedging it under your tire, in the rain.
This is killing me. I can happily say that none of these are my confessions - but go read the rest - I know you will identify with some of them.
