clockI swear, the older I get, the faster time goes by. I know my mom always used to say that, but it’s so true. What have I done this week - hmm. Not blogged nearly enough. I spent last Sunday with Aaron and Jeremy and Jim Turner at SXSW (well, really at the bars in Austin), but we had a great time. I think. Jim might not have though. Ouch!

I am sure I bored the kids to death (it was their spring break this week, and it rained all week, and I had sooo much work to do after missing the majority of Monday’s work). We got Sara launched at The Bargain Queen - and got lots of work done toward expanding the Beauty & Style channel (hooray - I do love beauty and fashion *oh so much*). I have passed the Home & Dining channel operations over to my friend William - it makes me a little sad, as I do love all of those folks in the channel so very much, but William will do a MUCH better job than I can right now. And its not like I am going anywhere, right?

I got my MOJO on Wednesday, courtesy of Chad, and my house cleaned on Thursday, courtesy of Mom. Mom left for her usual 2 months in Colorado yesterday, BOY will I miss her. For more reasons than one. ;)

noah-desert-stormThis weekend we saw Marshall’s cousin Steve and his absolutely gorgeous boys and I made an idiot out of myself not recognizing him when he first came by. Oy. I hate it when I do that. ;) Steve is a Colonel in the Army, and his kids were dressed up in full Desert Storm camo. Noah just thought they were the coolest thing ever - so did Marshall and I, really. Just super charming kids. After everyone watched Texas A&M whip some butt, the boys rode our ATV’s for a couple of hours, and we just hung outside loving up the horses nearly til dark. Buddy is getting humongous (here he is at less than one day old last April), I need to get out there and get some pictures before he is completely grown up. Marshall spent most of the day today with his father, who is still grieving terribly for his wife. Heartbreaking - I can’t imagine how horrible that must be.

So school starts back tomorrow, with any luck at all, things will be getting back to normal around here, but with choir practice in the mornings, tennis practice in the afternoons, it is probably bound to be crazy through the end of the year - which is frighteningly close. I can’t believe it is already almost the end of March. 2 more months of school. Unreal. :) I hope you had a good week - and I hope it was a lot more productive than mine. Blogging wise - anyway. :)

flowers-from-b5I probably should not be rewarded for crankiness, but my *oh so wonderful* bossman at b5media did just that. You *might* have noticed a little frustration in me last week - we have so much going on at b5media right now - and so much of it felt like it was landing square on my head last week. So yesterday, there was a knock at the door, and lo and behold, the FTD guy swooped in with the most beautiful basket of flowers, and such a nice note from Mark, thanking me for my hard work. Thanks so much, Mark - funny how flowers do wash away bad feelings. Men have known this for a long time, I guess. ;) Women are great, but they are funny too. Thanks so much Mark, and everyone at b5 - I really do love working for you all!

no-mailI hope I am not the only one who celebrates this occasion! That said, if you are waiting for a response from me, please let me know. I hope I didn’t overzealously archive and delete - but its always possible. Its a great day!

I can’t believe how busy I am now - what happened to my bon bons and my soap operas and living the lush and lazy life of a stay at home mom with too many cats and 2 kids in school? Thank God I love what I am doing. I have to gripe for one minute - I love writing, and it is stuck at the dead ass end of the day, when I am worn out. And that is just the writing that I HAVE to do. I hate that I am not able to keep up NailTechSecrets, and my wellness blogs. I love them just as much as eBeautyDaily and MRSANotes, but you would never know it by looking at em. Thank God for Peg at MRSAResources (love, love, love you girlfriend!). Know how long it has been since I have read a book? I LOVE to read. I don’t even know how long it has been. My husband has read, I bet, 15 books since I have read one, and he claims not to be a reader. ;)

In case anyone thinks I am lazy (which if you took a gander at my house, you might think that), I get up at 5am every morning, work til 6:30, get the kids off to school at 7:15, work til 4 - feed the kids, do homework, work a little more, exercise, clean house, do laundry, get the kids to bed - and work again from about 8:30 til (I would love to say) 9:30 (but it’s usually more like 11). Aaack. I am worn plumb out. ;) I wish I had a clone. Or just a few more sleeping hours in the daynight.

I do love all of my jobs though, and all the wonderful people that go along with wifehood (is that a word?), motherhood, blogging, and b5media. I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world. Women are wonderful creatures, aren’t they? :)

The Circle Game 26Feb07

hamster-wheelSometimes I feel like a gerbil, running around and around on his wheel. Same ol story morning after morning, day after day. Sliding down the banister every morning, eating jambalaya for breakfast every day and then feeding and loving up the lambs and then off to work. Day after day after day. No progress, no loss.

If you go look at my dear friend Hsien, and the leader she is most related to, you will appreciate our differences all the more. LOL

This is me:

Loving this… 10Feb07

Confession #1554

Darling,

I have intentionally mis-matched your socks. You are so anal-retentive that I know it messes up your whole day. Next time, don’t piss me off when I’m putting laundry away. Be grateful that I do it!!!

From TrueWifeConfessions - another site I am mighty glad I don’t feel the need to use. I thank God for our great relationship, and thank him for being the kind of man who is understanding and that I can tell anything and everything to. Except maybe when I do reaaaaaally stupid things like lose a $160 sugarglider and buy another one to replace it, then find the first one. Aaack. *muah*

I have successfully ignored this once, but I will be nice and comply this time. Thanks, Glen. ::groan:: lol

Five things you don’t know about me:

1. I am a hobby taxidermist. I wish I had time to work on all the animals in my freezer, there are some beautiful ones in there.

2. I hate to take showers - I am a bath girl. I do bathe, though. ;)

3. I am a headbanger at heart. My all time favorite band is Motley Crue.

4. I think I will likely be a crazy cat lady when I’m old. I keep way too many of them around now (…she says as she knocks a couple off her lap so she can type).

5. I love shock value, but I keep it close to home these days. I don’t like shocking you as much as my mother, my children and my hubby. ;)

I tag Hsien (heh - you can’t ignore MEEEEEEEEE can you - especially when you know all this stuff about me already?) Shannon, SP, Elke, and Suzzann .

w00t!
