Note the lush green foliage – doesn’t this picture make you wish you were here for a myriad of reasons??

Via Chezo (see you tonight!)

7 cute 7 week old puppies for adoption (4 black/tans, 3 tans).

Not for wretched humans, animal fighters, animal eaters or anything horrid at all.  They are sweet and loving and would be great dogs for families with kids.  They are half bloodhound and the black ones are half Australian Shepard, the tan ones might possibly be a lab mix.

This is Little Shenny and Little Jyle:

While we’re looking at our spring babies, take a gander at the kittens:

Pebbles puppiesYup, thats me. 2008 has proved to be a wild and woolly year for me so far. We got through Christmas, then took off for Fall 08 Fashion Week in January/February. Then had South by Southwest (in my backyard in Austin, but regardless, gone for a week) in March. Then went to the Beauty Editor for a Day with Glam in early April, back to NYC. Then May has been a whirlwind - A week in Toronto at the b5media HQ, then 4 days in Los Angeles to attend and speak at the Total Beauty Blog Summit, and then last, but not least, my BFF Suzzann was here for 5 days and just left this morning (*sob*). Dare I say it - I have no more trips on the schedule. The last two times I said that I got slapped with (great!) trips. But I am super grateful for all the great opportunities I have had this year, but it has left it nearly impossible to blog. Im doing my best to keep up with my beloved eBeautyDaily, but even that has been challenging this year. It is shocking to me that it is almost June, almost halfway through 2008 - but its been a blast for sure. Opportunities that I would have never dreamed of.

My darling Zoe graduated from 8th grade last week and is moving into Rudder High School next fall. Yowza - I wish I could slow time down a little. We have made it through the spring and have 8 bloodhound/australian shepard puppies and 7 of the cutest kittens you have ever seen. Mom is in Colorado finalizing things with Grandpa’s estate. Must. water. plants.

Ok so Im going to make a renewed effort to get back to some personal blogging - this post being a pitiful kick in the ass to get started. Someone poke me if I dont update regularly, ok?

Just in case you haven’t had enough of The Rock:

I love this software so far - easy to use and figure out - at least the basics. Soooo much more to learn! Here is our Billion Dollar Baby:

stingrayWe were at Galveston Beach this weekend, and about 100 yds down the beach from us an ambulance arrived and hauled someone off - wonder if this was why?

The Galveston Beach Patrol reported 14 stingray injuries over the weekend, the largest number of painful wounds reported this summer.

The Beach Patrol reported 10 injuries Sunday and four injuries Saturday, caused by bathers stepping on stingrays and causing them to lash out defensively with their toxic-tipped spiny tails, Beach Patrol Chief Peter Davis said Monday.

Ouch AGAIN. Man, The Great Republic of Texas is a dangerous place in the summertime!

This is why… 21Jul07

…it is good I don’t live in Africa.

This is the cutest thing. I hope she doesn’t kill them when she gets full grown. :)

Thanks, yet again, Cute Overload. One of these days I am going to send them some cute stuff from us. I need to go get some better pics of our cute herd of baby donkeys. :)

Marshall sent this picture of an alligator (allimagator = our pet name) found at one of the refineries this week:

On the bright side, our hotel room is just dandy. No mold, mildew or anything else. The carpet was definitely laid circa 1970, but it has been very freshly cleaned. The beds are comfy and I imported a coffee pot and snacks - Noah and I are living large! Exclusive photos of the Sandhiller to come. :) I BARELY have an internet connection though, so I am doing what I can when I can. Oh yeah, and we almost got tornado-ized yesterday, but it veared off just before it got to us. Praise the Lord!

Mega Shark 04Jun07

If you don’t know, I have a shark fetish - a big ‘un. ;) This monstrous 9 foot bull shark was caught off of a Pinellas County, FL backyard dock in Tampa Bay. I have swam in that bay mannnnnnny times. Scary! But awesome!

Pet Food Recall 18Mar07

dog and cat food recall

You know I loves my animals - and thankfully our Meow Mix and Purina Dog Chow are NOT on the recall list, but LOTS of other dog and cat foods are. I think it is just wet types of food on the list (my dogs say, “those lucky bastards”), but check it anyway if you have pets: http://www.menufoods.com/recall or you can call 866-463-6738 for more info.
