Another tremendously busy day to end a tremendously busy week.  I am truly worn out.  It took all I had in me to go with Marshall and Noah to check out Indiana Jones tonight.  Aaaaaaand - well, I haven’t heard one person say that it sucked, but I thought it sucked.  The sets were bad, and that stupid crystal skull looked like plastic and that it had plastic wrap packed inside of it - in fact, I’m pretty sure it was and it did.  The end was pretty good, and parts of it were ok, but there was a LOT of stupid and bad mixed in.  They could have made Harrison Ford look cool, but instead they kept pointing out how old he was.  I mean, he is no spring chicken, but I think accentuating the “gramps” was a little too much.  I guess if they had tried to make him look cool I would have thought that was stupid too.  Maybe it’s me.

I’m starting to stress wondering what I am going to do with the kids this summer, I think I mentioned that yesterday.  Maybe we will go to Texas City next week and spend some time at the beach house.  At least there is a pool and the beach.  Or not - Ryan is coming in tomorrow, I forgot about that.  Noah has a camp to go to the next week, Uncle Allen (who knows EVERYTHING) is coming the week after that, and they head to PA at the end of June for a week.  I guess we will make it through June.  For now, I must sleep.

Mixed bag on this one - the pro side - I get to sleep in tomorrow!  The negative side - wtf do I do with the kids for 3 months while I work?  I think were gonna join the Aerofit so they can swim and play a lot, and I can work mobile-y.  Guess all those fit people working out while Im sitting down pounding away on the keyboard will make fun of me. :)  Darcie, what to do?? :)

I just got the cutest email from Noah’s teacher:

Somehow with Noah crying, Michael crying and many others, about leaving today, I totally forgot to give him his report card.

Poor Noah was still blubbering when he got home this afternoon.  Oh the joys of 3rd grade - those were the days.  Ahhhh!!

Pebbles puppiesYup, thats me. 2008 has proved to be a wild and woolly year for me so far. We got through Christmas, then took off for Fall 08 Fashion Week in January/February. Then had South by Southwest (in my backyard in Austin, but regardless, gone for a week) in March. Then went to the Beauty Editor for a Day with Glam in early April, back to NYC. Then May has been a whirlwind - A week in Toronto at the b5media HQ, then 4 days in Los Angeles to attend and speak at the Total Beauty Blog Summit, and then last, but not least, my BFF Suzzann was here for 5 days and just left this morning (*sob*). Dare I say it - I have no more trips on the schedule. The last two times I said that I got slapped with (great!) trips. But I am super grateful for all the great opportunities I have had this year, but it has left it nearly impossible to blog. Im doing my best to keep up with my beloved eBeautyDaily, but even that has been challenging this year. It is shocking to me that it is almost June, almost halfway through 2008 - but its been a blast for sure. Opportunities that I would have never dreamed of.

My darling Zoe graduated from 8th grade last week and is moving into Rudder High School next fall. Yowza - I wish I could slow time down a little. We have made it through the spring and have 8 bloodhound/australian shepard puppies and 7 of the cutest kittens you have ever seen. Mom is in Colorado finalizing things with Grandpa’s estate. Must. water. plants.

Ok so Im going to make a renewed effort to get back to some personal blogging - this post being a pitiful kick in the ass to get started. Someone poke me if I dont update regularly, ok?
