I know, I have sucked at updating over here lately - badly. Mom came and visited for a week last week, and I have spent this week catching up - what a nightmare. We have had the big circle of life in action this week, as is usual in the spring - and have a gorgeous new colt that was born in the wee hours Sunday morning - I think his name is Buddy (after Marshalls father - we have a donkey named Jeanette, so it is only fair…LOL):

It is always SO amazing to me to think about the differences between many newborn animals and newborn humans. Marshall tells me that most of these animals that come right out of the womb somewhat self sufficient are often prey animals and they have to be that way, but you look at things like rabbits and mice, who although they mature much faster than humans, are just teeny and as unable to survive on their own as human babies are. Anyway, just a ramble. I need to check out Just A Little Guy - in all of my busy-ness I have let one of my favorite reads (and looks) fall to the wayside. Gonna go check em out now.
