the damned circle of life

Once again, the circle of life hits us hard. Good stuff first–we have 4 new cute baby chickens. Bad stuff–my dog, Penny, chased a cat across the road on Friday night, right in front of my neice driving a truck carrying a huge horse trailer. She was killed almost instantly. We buried her yesterday morning at the beach, her favorite place to go. the cat sat across the road licking herself, satisfied with her days work. sigh.
I am so, so sorry. There’s nothing that can be said to ease pain like that, I know. What a sweet and beautiful doggie.
